Hi, I'm Malika the manger of Petology! I'm a girl who loves animals and that's why I created this store.
Ever since I was young, I was obsessed with animals. First it started out with dogs, then every other animal after I found that I was actually allergic to dogs. It didn't stop me from hugging them though.
When I was obsessed with animals, I found out that pet stores were really bad. The animals come from mills which makes them more likely to suffer from a lot of health problems. These animals are packed into small cages and containers which barely allows them to move, some are even kept alone giving them no opportunity to socialize with other animals. For social animals like Rats, Guinea pigs, Mice, Gerbils and Sugar gliders keeping them alone could be very detrimental to their health. The journey to the pet store is also very bad, a lot of animals get hurt and even die because of carelessness. Exotic pets often arrive to pet stores starved, sick, pregnant or injured. At Petology we make sure that our animals are bred by ethical breeders or come from animal shelters where they are transported safely and carefully put into a good homes.
I believe that all animals should have a happy life after all their not human. Pets are not able to care for themselves, they can't refuse unhealthy food or bad housing because they cannot choose. That's why I made this store, so that people would get the right things and learn the right things so their pets can live a comfortable and long life.
